A Very Rough Plan….

Further entries for the fitness journal….. Rough action plan is as below:

  •  Start the famous diet program apparently developed by General Motors.  (I could not find any clear proof that GM developed the diet plan.  5-6 kg of weight loss per week looks too good to be true!  Anyways, liked the plan for its simplicity and logic.  Also, it will refrain me from having those crisps, carbonated drinks, fries and burgers.  I sincerely hope it’s worth the efforts!). > ” />

Two popular online versions are:

http://msync.org/health/GeneralMotorsDiet.html  (veggie option)

[Update:  I have started the vegetarian version from this morning onwards.  It’s just first day, and it’s already tough.  Surprisingly, the thing I miss the most is tea, and not food!

Now, I should be frank here.  I have been kindly invited for two birthday parties (advance Happy Birthday wishes, Riddhi and Ojas!) during this weekend.  Knowing the Indian menu, I am not confident whether I can follow this diet plan strictly!  Therefore, I apply for anticipatory bail now itself.  Alternative options are:

  • Avoid the tasty, delicious food during weekend, but that is against the overall picture of “be happy and enjoy the journey".
  • Start the diet from Next Monday, but there is no point in delaying
  • Take a break in between the plan – looks like the preferred option.

Hence, the plan will be suspended for weekend, and will be re-started from Monday onwards.  To mitigate, I will exercise and swim.  Hope this justifies the break!]

Other actions are:

  • Search and join a good gym before the end of diet plan.
  • Prepare workout schedule for coming months.

As mentioned, a very rough schedule at this stage; will alter to suit personal and work commitments.
